Our challenges diminish that light within us and tells us we are not worthy. We feel broken. We believe it is in this brokenness that we can find strength, just as the Japanese art of Kintsugi does. We can find ways to work through depression, grief, and anxiety with courage and start to find what matters for you and work toward it together. We can help you find hope and meaning in your life again.
Kintsugi is an art form where the potter fills gold into the parts of a broken pot to transform its brokenness into beauty. We can find beauty in our imperfections. We believe in post-traumatic growth. We want to take your story and help you believe in yourself again. We can work together on a new perspective on your self-defeating story. We can create a safe space for you to talk about your feelings with no judgment. We will work through your feelings of hopelessness. We can give you strategies to cope when you feel overwhelmed. Our goal is to help you feel supported in your challenges. You can learn to work through your emotions. We can help you face your fears and difficult emotions.
We often question whether what we have experienced is enough to talk to someone. Surely, it seems like it can't be "trauma." We want you to know that however big or small your trauma is, you are worthy of and deserve to find hope and healing.

I am trained in ACT therapy. ACT is an experiential therapy that is not traditional talk therapy. I have training in CBT, Trauma Focused CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR. I am an EMDR certified Therapist. I am IFS informed Therapist. I like to use mindfulness as a base for our sessions and build on self-compassion exercises to begin healing. My specialties are counseling those with OCD, depression. anxiety, and trauma.
Making that first step to come to therapy can be difficult, but I will be with you each step of the way. I am a genuine listener. I am here for you. I will hold space for the experiences and life events you would like to share. I will give suggestions and use my specific training to point out how to use coping skills to overcome the negative self-talk.
