It takes courage to begin therapy, and I will guide you in increasing your self-worth and becoming the person you are meant to be - your authentic you!
My specialties are:
including Sand Tray Therapy, Poetry, Art and Music.
As a person with the lived experience of OCD, I know what it is like to struggle with perfectionism and anxiety about worst-case scenario possibilities. I have had a personal journey with grief and loss; I have become a "grief nerd" and try to find all the ways to work through my own sadness. Finding EMDR is one of the ways I have found relief from the sudden and unexpected losses in my life.
My dreams include travelling. I read a lot, and I love to blog. I am passionate about life, interested in meeting and making connections with other people, and I dream about my next travelling adventure!

My purpose is to help people learn to experience abiding peace regardless of what has or will happen to them, and to become their own master therapists. I guide clients in discovering core issues driving distress and trauma responses so healing can be experienced thoroughly, deeply, and enduringly.
My Specialities are:
My life’s story has spun in ways I never anticipated and has given me cause to to seek nerdy levels of understanding about myself and relationships. What I have learned has saved my life - and it turns out, I really like my life! It would be a privilege to walk awhile with you as you traverse - and come to love - your own epic tale of woe and wonder.
I am mother to three teenagers, coached competitive swimming for 10 years, and relish swimming long open water races. My geeky hobbies include being a mad scientist in the kitchen creating soap and lotion (and sometimes dinner). I am a creator and truth seeker. Your story and struggles are safe here.

Why We Struggle in Relationships (And How to Fix It)
Ever found yourself randomly pushing buttons on a machine you have no clue how to fix? Flipping switches, unplugging and plugging it back in—hoping something just works? Now, what if I told you we sometimes do the same thing in our relationships?
We know something is off, but we don’t fully understand how to fix it. I’ve felt this firsthand—somewhere between tears of frustration and heated arguments, there was really just a deep desperation to connect. And after spending over 25 years working with children and families in the foster care system, I’ve seen just how much disrupted connections shape us.
As Gabor Maté says, “Safety is not the absence of threat; it is the presence of connection.” The way we bond with our first caregivers creates a blueprint for every relationship that follows.
So ask yourself:
• Do deep, emotional conversations make you pull away or shut down?
• Do you chase after love, desperate to be understood?
• Do you reject support the moment it’s offered?
• Ever been obsessed with someone, only to suddenly feel the ick?
This knowledge is life-changing. Understanding your patterns means you can stop reacting on autopilot—stop pushing random emotional buttons—and start showing up in your relationships with real intention and clarity.
Want deeper connections? It starts with knowing yourself first.

My name is Preston Walker, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with expertise in treating ADHD and PTSD. I combine neurofeedback, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and memory reconsolidation to help clients understand and address the root causes of their symptoms. My approach is supportive and goal-oriented, focusing on empowering clients to find practical solutions while fostering lasting emotional contentment.
I frequently work with individuals who haven’t found success with previous treatments. With specialized training in Neurofeedback and Parts and Memory Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy, I am prepared to support those managing ADHD and complex PTSD, as well as negative interaction cycles - all of which can present unique challenges to effective treatment. When other treatments have not helped, often these approaches can help. Neurofeedback can provide long lasting changes via new neuronal activity, while memory healing helps neutralize emotions memories diminishing triggered responses, and secure attachment often makes other symptoms significantly less problematic.

The heart knows when it’s in trouble and when it needs healing. The remedy is reaching out for help, which can be tough at times, but it isn’t tough when you know that there are trained, compassionate people waiting, holding out a hand to help. Everyone has a story that needs to be told and witnessed to be understood in its origin and events. We all have accumulated bumps and bruises along the path that have impacted our abilities to function, make us who we are, and influence our decisions.
My purpose is to empower people with the knowledge that they are the heroes of their own life story. My approach is supportive, client-centered, and somatic. Many of life’s traumas and relationship issues go unnoticed, unwitnessed, and unacknowledged. I work with you to foster a safe space for healing and growth. I will guide you step by step through the journey as you progress towards a healthier you.
My Specialties are:
My interests include traveling and musical theatre. I can "jam" it out with the best of them!

Therapy can be hard. Talking about painful experiences and sharing your vulnerabilities isn’t easy — and that’s why creating a safe space is my top priority. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support and guidance as you explore whatever feels important to you. I strive to be warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental. While you lead the way in what we talk about, I gently help identify patterns in thoughts and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. Together we work as a team to help you reach your goals.
I work with adults navigating trauma, domestic violence, substance use, anxiety, and depression — and I believe that healing is always possible. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. Together, let's build on your strengths to support meaningful, lasting change.

If you're feeling scared, worried, or hesitant about talking through the difficult parts of your life, come see me. Together, we can create a space that surrounds you with warmth, no matter the situation. I hope to be the person you can count on to be in your corner.
